The arrival of the twenty-first century was celebrated all over the world as it harbingered the new millennium. Due to the improvements of our inventions people everywhere saw the rising sun shedding light on the first day of the new millennium. The sun looked glorious as it
looks any other day; but the minds that celebrated the arrival were happier than
ever. On a usual day the same minds cannot be happy as the same technology that
announced the dawn of the new millennium brings daily stories of violence
unleashed by the minds that have departed from human sensibilities. To be happy
on such a day one must be dead, or one’s consciousness must be conquered by the
religions that unleash such violence. We have become less human under the
influence of these religions that are supposed to bring spirituality into our
lives. This conquests of consciousness is due to the influence of many
such systems that humans have developed over the years as part of our so called progress. The result of all these conquests is the alienation of human sensibility from its inborn capabilities.
Degradation of consciousness is the greatest calamity that can happen to any
human All these are happening because many systems that we have developed for years exist in violation of the System of Life to which we belong by virtue of our human birth. The nature of the human mind essentially belongs to the System of Life which really should be the System of God to the people who speak of religious faith. The mind loses its human identity when its relationship with the System is ruptured due to the alienation worked by the religions that preach divinity in their own systems. The world that supports life, the real world, is the expression of spirituality and it can be regained only when the mind works in tandem with the System of Life/God. That was what the people after whom the major religions got formed demanded. The world that exists outside the worlds that we make as part of our civilization is the world of Truth. It is the only Intelligent System that is available to us to manage our life meaningfully because it is the System that gave us life. If we belong to that we express our spirituality, that is all. The success depends on how far we can belong to the Real World when our social systems exist in violation of the System of Truth. If one belongs to the System intellectually and emotionally, one is able to regain the complete human identity that is vested in the System of Life. This State of Enlightenment was Attained by the Prophets who spoke of the Truth. Religions have become instruments of violence and destruction all over the world due to the influence of sham spirituality that may are compelled to promote under the guise of faith. That is why religious faith has become the main cause of manslaughter everywhere. The Prophets tried to make life meaningful by demanding that life should be lived on the basis of its own System. The alienation of human consciousness from the system of life is responsible for the troubles we find all over the world. Human societies can survive only if we respect life and its relationship. If not, our social systems will collapse like inflated balloons. God is not the product of any religion, neither is spirituality. Even in the present age of knowledge, ignorance is supported by the educated and the powerful, ignorance is armed with weapons and money. it is quite tragic that ignorance is supported by many governments that should guide people to light and wisdom. The main reason for this is the conditioning of the human mind by the vested interests that stand for the parochial systems. The preachers of ignorance behave as if they have the right to tell lies, and people who believe in such stories become part of such mentalities. In the march of our civilization the systems that should bring sanity to the mind get corrupted as a result of reason-based cumulative thinking. When this corruption affects the ecology of the mind, the effect is calamitous. All that culture values become superfluous in the resultant social milieu. There is a better system of law, education, religion... and even a better God outside all that we have formed as part of our civilization. Though the liberation of the human mind from all these manufactured systems that alter its consciousness is the inherent birth-right of each and every human, they do not free themselves completely from these deadlocks. The departure of the mind from the ignorant reason-based systems to the better system that exists in the Universe as part of its inherent structure marks the Enlightenment of the mind. At this level the mind is not a product of any religion. All the prophets (after whom many religions originated) expressed the sensibility of the Enlightened mind. The Enlightenment that all the Prophets attained was based on the perception of Truth that exists in the Universe, and the expression of it is the expression of the mind that goes beyond the limits of time and regions. Though wisdom inherently belongs to Truth, it disappears from religions and life when importance is given to the faiths preached by these parochial institutions. Faith that the religions speak of is not the Truth, and it never will be. It can, at the most, lead to some psychic exercises. As there had not been any system to express the intellectual, emotional, and psychological aspects of the mind reached by the prophets, these religions are highly subjected to fancies of the human mind. They even split into several factions, and these factions compete with each other in establishing their versions of spirituality. Many religions very often promote only herd instincts, and in times of stampede, they even become expressions of brutality - departing from the love, which is the inherent sensibility of the human mind. Some are even becoming executioners of humanity. What must be fundamental to any religion is spirituality. Spirituality is not the expression of mentality. The basis of spirituality is essentially the adherence to the Truth that exists in the Universe that the prophets spoke of. At that level, all human beings are equal. The Truth is the only moral force, and it will continue for ever even after the collapse of all these parochial empires. The basis of civilization is reason, but the basis of Enlightenment and culture is Pure Reason (Holistic Rationalism), the basis of which is the love and respect for life. When commercial values infiltrate into life, culture and wisdom soon disappear from all areas of life, and even from legal systems. Very often wisdom disappears from judgments even. Mind can shape matter. When matter begins to shape mind, it loses its inherent sensibility for the pulse of life. At its extreme the mind just loses its consciousness due to its alienation from the factors that control its inherent culture. This is the conquest of culture by civilization. 'Pure Reason', the reasoning of the soul, should guide the mind at all levels. Though there had been attempts in the past to deal with Pure Reason, even now this topic remains unfamiliar in the realm of knowledge. For the first time in the history of human thought, all the aspects of Pure Reason are being expressed at present. It unites philosophy, spirituality, knowledge, and all other areas of human thought and activities. Saints and prophets all over the world can be better understood with the expression of Pure Reason. All over the world we find the expression of the sensibility of the soul as a reaction against the systems that support the cultivation of insensibility. These protests can never be silenced, though such protests will be suppressed by the establishments. The whole world needs to be reorganized on the basis of Pure Reason to save ourselves from being anchored on the other side of the civilization by the dead weight of reason. Pure Reason is not the expression of any single personality even though it expresses the never-ending self. I express my gratitude to Dr. Rainer Taëni for translating the 'Introduction' to German, and to Dr.Wolfgang Fischer who has taken the initiative in getting it done. I am indebted to none other than my self for the expression of 'Pure Reason'. What I am doing is a historical necessity.
