Life is the creation of God, the best intelligent system existing in this Universe. When a human being is born, it is an important statement of this system that has a moral code, the implications of which very few people grasp. The ones who grasped its implications were the people who spoke of the Truth. When a child is born, its mind is not the product of any parochial system that any society has devised as part of its civilization. It has no religion or politics. It is a beautiful expression because it is the creation of the holistic system of Truth. At this level there is no religion or caste that haunts and kills many worldwide because all are equal to the system of life. It has only human identity. When it grows up, the social milieu takes hold of its mind, and the rest sometimes is very tragic. It is given some identity that others consider essential, the identity which does great damage to its mind. This is just because all these imposed values do not agree with the values of the moral system to which humans essentially belong. Love is the basis of the interaction of the mind with the components of the system of life. When the society imposes restrictions on the basis of the reductionism that it has formed, the reductionism that the members think necessary for the identity of the group, with the lacing of an education that does not cultivate the essential qualities of love that is necessary for its happiness, the resultant mind is quite appropriate for waging wars and perpetrating evils for the promotion of the selfish. As civilization progresses, there will be many agencies of the civilization trying to fill consciousness with their own products, and the result is damaging to the mind because love is possible only for living beings that include human beings also.

The best qualities of the human mind are not the products of any system that human societies devise as part of their civilizations. Basic to humans is the love that the mind is capable of feeling for the living beings. Though it varies according to the perceptions of the individuals and the societies, it really reflects the culture of the never-ending mind. At the absolute level, the mind is capable of feeling love for every object in Nature because human mind essentially is a product of the system that controls life. The mind at this level is also capable of understanding the reality that belongs to the creativity that controls everything here, the reality that is camouflaged by the reason-based systems that people promote. The faith-based religions give abundant opportunities for the violation of the moral system due to the alienation of consciousness from the components of the system of life. (see Death of Reason)

The systems that humans formulate as part of their civilizations must be compatible with the system that has been responsible for human existence. If not, these fabrications become expressions of parochialism that affect the quality of life. Truth is synonymous with God because it refers to the creative power that has created everything that belongs to this Universe and its system. The prophets demanded that all human affairs must be conditioned by Truth, and not by any delimiting systems that humans form as part of their transient perspectives. "Men, serve your Lord, who has created you and those who have gone before you, so that you may guard yourselves against evil; who has made the earth a bed for you and the sky a dome, and has sent down water from the sky to bring forth fruits for your sustenance." ('The Koran' 2:21-22) The Lord/God here is not an expression of any linguistic reductionism though religions make it so. Due to the cultivation of this parochialism God is made the greatest tool of destruction in this world.

Many countries are helpless under the invasion of this ignorance. The world is becoming a battlefield due to the promotion of ignorance. Mohammed was not creating a God of faith, he was fighting against the God/gods of faith for faith does nothing in this world of reality. Faith is just a mental exercise. Mohammed was trying to take people to the reality that lies outside the world/s created by humans. The expression of spirituality is in how humans relate themselves to this reality. Here, all faith-based religions have failed in promoting this relationship with the reality. "Man takes his law from the Earth; the Earth takes its law from Heaven; Heaven takes its law from the Tao. The law of the Tao is its being what it is." (Tao Te Ching, Part I, 25.4) The Tao is the Truth that humans must follow. The world as it exists outside the perception conditioned by reasoning is not an expression of any parochialism as its existence is based on the best intelligence system that we can find on this earth- God/Truth. "The whole world, whatever here exists, springs from and moves in life. They that know them become immortal." ( Katha Upanishad, II. 2.) The ones who completely declared freedom from the reasoning of the society, the prophets, were conscious of the higher moral system that belonged to the reality- the Truth.

The regaining of this original consciousness that transcends reasoning was the Enlightenment that all the prophets received. It is the highest state that is available to the human mind- the Enlightenment that the present education fails to impart with knowledge. In ancient India, this state was called 'Brahmanya' though the term became an expression of reductionism thereafter. Out of the love for the components of the system of life springs the love and respect for life that is basic to the survival of life. We get good families and societies when the mind expresses this inherent love, and it disappears when societies give importance to their products because whatever we devise, however grand the concept may be, cannot generate love as they do not move in life. For clarity of expression, these products must be called the 'objects of civilization' for distinguishing them from the 'objects of culture' that move in life. Whatever we make must be for the support of the culture of the mind and not for whatever we build. The difficulty is that people equate their products with the expression of culture. The result is disaster. Though the religious and political systems are meant to aid life, they become expressions of terrorism due to the mistaken identity. This is what we witness in this world at present. Instead of supporting life, they bring death. 'The Bhagavad Gita' speaks of it thus of it:

"Mankind errs here
By folly, darkening knowledge. But for whom
That darkness of the soul is chased by light,
Splendid and clear shines manifest the Truth
As if a Sun of Wisdom sprang to shed
Its beam of dawn."

The prophets demanded that humans should be guided by the system of life- the Truth because they were Enlightened. The prophets were the intellectuals of their times who saw the flimsy grounds on which the religions build up their mansions. Life gets upgraded with the knowledge of the reality- the Truth. Its expression is love and not the hatred that we find everywhere now. Truth, not faith, is the source of knowledge and spirituality. Since there is only one creative principle in this Universe, the ones who realized it- the prophets- asserted that God is one. God at this level is not the expression of any parochialism that different religions form as part of their perceptions because the creativity of God is holistic in its expression. Ignorance, pure ignorance, that is what people are promoting now.

The knowledge of reality alone is real because it is not the product of any time-bound human reasoning. Sankara (A.D. 800, India) said: "Knowledge is the awareness of what a thing is in itself. It is gained by the valid means of knowledge. Neither logical acumen, nor ritualistic observances are of avail in acquiring knowledge." ('Sarva Vedanta Siddhanta Sarasangraha'. Verse. 190) All prophets got the knowledge of the Truth- the reality that transcends human reasoning. In ancient times this knowledge that the mind gains was called 'sruthi' or Revealed Truth. Sankara: "Sruthi declares that Brahman is eternal, true, and real. Brahman is not subject to any kind of change: and sruthi is the proof of it. Therefore the knowledge of Brahman does not depend upon anything else." (Verse. 193) This was what Mohammed asserted. God does not build any geographic seclusion entirely for any faith. To deny it is madness.

The path taken by all the prophets was that of meditation that helps the mind to become still at which level it reflects the reality that transcends all expressions of parochialism. "The still mind of the sage is the mirror of heaven and earth, the glass of all things." ('Tao te Ching'. Pt. II. Sect. VI. P. 1 'The Sacred Books of the East' vol. 39, Ed. by F. Max Muller). Carl Gustav Jung, the father of Analytical Psychology said: "The transcendent function does not proceed without aim and purpose, but leads to the revelation of the essential man. It is in the first place a purely natural process, which may in some cases pursue its course without the knowledge or assistance of the individual, and sometimes forcibly accomplish itself in the face of opposition. The meaning and purpose of the process is the realization, in all its aspects, of the personality originally hidden away in the embryonic germ-plasm; the production and unfolding of the original, potential wholeness." ('Two Essays on Analytical Psychology')

'Jaina Sutras' speaks thus of Mahaveera (6th C. B.C., India) who started Jainism: "With supreme knowledge, with supreme intuition, with supreme conduct, in blameless lodgings … the Venerable One meditated on himself for twelve years. During the thirteenth year … being engaged in deep meditation, reached the highest knowledge and intuition, called 'Kevala', which is infinite, supreme, unobstructed, unimpeded, complete, and full." ('Jaina Sutras', Pt.I, Kalpa Sutra. 'Sacred books of the East', translated by Herman Jacobi, Ed. by F. Max Muller) The mind at the 'kevala' (pure) state is guided by 'kevala yukti' (Pure Reason). Pure means not corrupted by human reasoning.

During meditation the part of the mind that is suppressed by the social reasoning gets liberated to assert its independence because real human consciousness is not a product of any parochialism. Christ spoke thus of the unraveling of the true self. "If those who lead you say unto you: Behold, the Kingdom is in heaven, then the birds of the heaven will be before you. If they say unto you: It is in the sea, then the fish will be before you. But the Kingdom is within you, and it is outside of you. When you know yourselves, then shall you be known, and you shall know that you are the sons of the living Father. But if ye do not know yourselves, then you are in poverty, and you are poverty." This is the poverty that afflicts mankind now. Faith-based religions are instrumental in the present intellectual poverty that afflicts the world.

Gandhi spoke thus of the emotional aspect of the 'kevala' mind: "I want to realize brotherhood or identity not merely with the beings called human, but I want to realize identity with all life, even with such beings as crawl on earth. I want, if I don't give you a shock, to realize identity with even the crawling things upon the earth, because we claim common descent from the same God, and that being so, all life in whatever form it appears must be essentially one." The internal becomes part of the external here. The external is the world that works according to the Truth, not the world superimposed upon it by humans. All religions decay at times due to the influence of the perceptions of the people who fail to grasp the Truth. At the level of faith religions depart from reality due to the influence of reasoning. The non-essential practices are the ones that humans devise and identify themselves with. Adherence to these non-essential practices destroys the innate love of the human mind because these things do not generate love.
